MISSION STATEMENT
Strategic Purchasing will manage, facilitate, and provide the highest quality, team based, value-added procurement and ancillary support services that exceed the needs and expectations of our customers.

The Strategic Purchasing Division, Finance and Administration Department, is the primary organization within the City authorized to issue bid invitations and proposals, process and release purchase orders, and develop and maintain term contracts.

The City Purchasing Agent can delegate authority to allow department staff releases against contract and non-contract purchases less than $25,000. The Strategic Purchasing Division is made up of a team of 50+ staff members who support the central purchasing process and more, with an operating budget of nearly 4 million dollars.
